Media alert on Memorandum presentation to the PM by Pertubuhan Gabungan Pengusaha-pengusaha Industri Burung Walit Se- Malaysia at the Parliament house on the 9^th Oct 2012 at 11.am.

代表大部分燕农的马来西亚燕业联盟因去年7月开始毛燕被禁止出口中国而向首相提呈备忘录，要求插手解决这问题。

The Pertubuhan Gabungan Pengusaha-pengusaha Industri Burung Walit Se-Malaysia representing the majority of edible bird nest (EDN) farmers in Malaysia who now currently faced an export ban on unprocessed bird nests since July last year is going to the Parliament House to present a memorandum to the Prime Minister urging him to look into their plight.

Their traditional market in China has practically disappeared after the press conference staged  by one bogus government official at China followed by our deputy Agriculture Minister YB Chua Tee Yong’s  expose’ of ‘supposedly fake bird nests from Malaysia!”

这14个月来，所有毛燕窝都只有囤集在仓库。在919中马双方在中国南宁签署协议之后，占市场95%的毛燕窝并未有关联。毛燕出口问题一日不解决，国家将损失大量外汇及税收，燕农也面对缴还贷款的难题。For 14 long months, all the raw bird nests were gathered and kept in  yoyo as the MOA tried to figure out a way to solve the problem. With the conclusion of the recently signing of Naning Protocol on Bird Nest Export the majority of the EBN farmers realized that they will be left holding 95% of the stock of all EBN produced in the country! No solution to their plight is in sight and if the situation were to continue, not only the country will suffer great loss of revenue but the farmers will be saddled with loans that they cannot repay.

毛燕囤集的份量日后将越来越多，我们唯有将问题向首相禀告，在10月9日吧备忘录提呈首相。所有媒体都受邀出席采访有关新闻。

The situation is getting more and more critical and thus they have no choice but to bring to the attention of the Prime Minister. They have decided to present a memo on this matter on the 9^th Oct at 11 am at the Parliament House. All media are cordially invited to witness the event and a press conference shall ensue after the presentation ceremony.
